Usage and Maintenance

Basic Operating Procedure

1. Pre-production Preparation

Glue Preheating: Turn on the hot melt adhesive system and preheat for 15-20 minutes. The glue needs to reach the set operating temperature; a lower temperature may result in poor adhesion.

Ribbon Installation: Install the ribbon roll onto the feed shaft, adjusting the tension appropriately. The ribbon should pass smoothly through the guide groove without twisting.

Parameter Setting: Set the ribbon cutting length, pasting position coordinates, and glue dispensing amount on the touchscreen.

2. Trial Run and Alignment

First Piece Inspection: Perform a single cycle test first. Check if the ribbon extension length meets the design requirements and if the pasting position is centered.

Pressure Adjustment: Adjust the pressure of the pressing mechanism to ensure the ribbon is fully bonded to the cardboard without leaving indentations on the paper surface.

3. Formal Production

Monitor the process to ensure the cardboard is neatly arranged. Our ribbon pasting machine can be integrated with a fully automatic rigid box production line, forming a complete production and processing solution. Speed matching is required in this case.

Equipment Maintenance and Upkeep

Rongda recommends that you perform maintenance according to a schedule, divided into daily, weekly, and quarterly intervals, or adjust the regular intervals based on your actual production intensity.

1. Daily Maintenance

After work, be sure to clean the area around the glue nozzle and any residual glue on the conveyor belt. It is best to use a special scraper or cotton cloth to clean while the glue is still warm to prevent it from solidifying and clogging.

Fiber dust tends to accumulate at the ribbon cutting area; use an air gun to blow it clean to ensure a smooth and burr-free cut.

Also, be sure to promptly clean up any scraps left over from ribbon cutting.

2. Weekly Maintenance

Lubricate the slide rails, chains, and cam mechanisms of the Ribbon Pasting Machine. Use high-temperature resistant grease.

Check the hot melt glue machine for any carbonized black deposits. If the glue is found to be deteriorated, the glue tank needs to be cleaned.

3. Quarterly Maintenance

Regularly inspect the glue rollers, pressure rollers, cutters, and conveyor belts. It is recommended to maintain a spare parts inventory so that replacements can be made promptly if downtime is required, without affecting delivery times.
