After PLASTPERU & PACKPERU 2026: A Few Days to Explore Peru

PLASTPERU & PACKPERU 2026 came to an end on August 22 in Lima, marking the end of four busy days of meetings, product discussions and conversations with professionals from the plastics and packaging industries.

From August 19 to 22, the Rongda team was at booth U253, where we had the opportunity to meet existing partners, new contacts and potential customers from Peru and other Latin American markets. It was a valuable chance to better understand local market needs, exchange ideas and introduce our solutions for the packaging industry.

Now that the exhibition is over, we are staying in Peru for a few more days — but this time, without a trade show schedule. Our first stop is Machu Picchu.

Before heading into the mountains, here are a few thoughts from the exhibition.

Four Days of Conversations in Lima

PLASTPERU & PACKPERU brought together companies and professionals from different parts of the plastics and packaging value chain. The exhibition covered a wide range of products and technologies, from raw materials and processing equipment to printing and packaging solutions.

One thing we noticed throughout the show was the variety of discussions around automation, production efficiency and more sustainable packaging. These topics came up frequently in conversations between exhibitors and visitors, reflecting some of the practical challenges manufacturers are currently working to address.

For Rongda, the most valuable part of the exhibition was not simply seeing new equipment or technologies, but talking directly with people working in the industry. Visitors came to our booth with different applications, production requirements and questions, giving us a better understanding of what customers in the region are looking for.

Our Experience at Booth U253

During the four days, we welcomed both new visitors and customers we had already been in contact with.

Some conversations focused on specific machine requirements, while others were simply opportunities to exchange information and learn more about each other’s businesses. We also had the chance to discuss current production processes and the challenges that packaging manufacturers face in their daily operations.

We appreciate everyone who took the time to stop by U253 and speak with the Rongda team. For us, these direct conversations are an important part of understanding the market and improving the way we support our customers.

The exhibition also gave us a chance to spend more time getting to know the Peruvian market. With its growing packaging and manufacturing sectors and its connections with other Latin American markets, Peru remains a market we are interested in following closely.

From Trade Show to Travel

Once the exhibition ended, we decided not to leave Peru immediately.

Instead, we are taking a few extra days to see a different side of the country.

Our first destination is Machu Picchu, one of Peru’s best-known landmarks. After several days spent talking about machinery, production and packaging, it feels good to slow down for a while, enjoy the scenery and experience a place that is very different from the exhibition hall in Lima.

Looking Back at PLASTPERU & PACKPERU 2026

For Rongda, PLASTPERU & PACKPERU 2026 was a useful opportunity to meet people face to face, listen to the market and continue conversations that began before the exhibition.

Trade shows are only a few days long, but the conversations often continue afterwards. We will stay in touch with the contacts we met in Lima and continue following up on the projects and discussions started during the event.

For now, though, it is time to put the business cards away for a little while and enjoy Peru.
